How to Set the Date and on a Camcorder

Setting the date on your camcorder is important. Some features on your camcorder will not work unless the date is set, such as adding a time and date stamp to your recording. Setting the date is easy and does not take much time. Here's how.

• Owner's manual
• Camcorder

1. Turn the camcorder on. If the camcorder is off, you will not be able to access the menu and set the date.

2. Press your camcorder's Menu button. From the menu, you will be able to access many features on your camcorder, including the date.

3. From the menu screen, scroll down to time and date. This will allow you to change the time and date on your camcorder.

4. In the time and date menu, select the date.

5. Using the controls mapped out in your owner's manual, set the date to today's date. Once this is done, you will be able to use all the related features on your camcorder.
