Are you a teenager who wants to make extra bucks and gain some work experience? An after-school job would serve both purposes. Finding an after-school job online is not difficult. Here's how.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Assess your skills and decide how much time you can spend working. Determine the type of job you would like to have. These decisions will help you narrow down job categories.

  2. Step 2

Go to an online job board such as CoolWorks, GrooveJob, Teens4Hire, StudentJobs or SnagAJob (see links below). Here you can view various part-time and after-school job opportunities.

  3. Step 3

Check out your school or college Web site. Often, various departments of your school or college list after-school jobs.

  4. Step 4

Browse through discussion forums or groups such as Yahoo! Groups and Google Groups. Look for student groups. You can network with other students and find out about more school-related job opportunities. Various entities may also advertise their part-time jobs on such groups. Social networking on LinkedIn and MySpace is also a good idea.

  5. Step 5

Insert the keywords "After-School Job" or "Part-time job" along with your location in Google or Yahoo! search engines. This may result in some listings.

  6. Step 6

Browse through Web sites of the local malls and entertainment venues. These usually offer after-school jobs to high-school and college students.

Tips & Warnings
  • Identify your strengths and weaknesses before looking for jobs.
  • Assess your schedule before you apply for any job. Ensure that the job timing will not affect your school work.
