So you have decided to get married, in Las Vegas no less. Las Vegas is the wedding capital of the world, with more marriage licenses issued every year than any other city. Seeing that it is the wedding capital of the world, there are many choices of just where to tie the knot. Thankfully, Las Vegas has a chapel for every taste. These steps will help you select a wedding chapel in Las Vegas.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • marriage license
  • Internet access
  • telephone
  • witnesses
  • computer
  • photo ID
  1. Step 1

Know the busiest time for a wedding in Las Vegas is the weekend, particularly Saturday. If you are serious about getting married in Las Vegas, you need to start planning the trip as soon as possible, even if you do not know where you are going to tie the knot.

  2. Step 2

Think about what you want out of a wedding chapel. There are many chapels to choose from in Las Vegas, ranging from the elegant to the simple and quirky.

  3. Step 3

Decide how much you want to pay for a wedding. Prices like amenities are totally different depending on where you go in Las Vegas. Know how much you want to spend on a chapel before getting too far into searching.

  4. Step 4

Start researching chapels in Las Vegas. The Internet is perfect for this because every chapel has a Web site.

  5. Step 5

When you find a couple chapels you like and you can afford, call them up. Get as much information out of them as possible. You will want to know the price, if the waiting room is air-conditioned or heated, how many people they can accommodate, and most importantly, the availability.

  6. Step 6

When you feel comfortable with making a choice, when you have all of the information, call the chapel and book it. Make sure that you book well in advance of your wedding date; this will ensure you actually have a place to get married.

Tips & Warnings
  • Book early. If you try to walk into a Las Vegas wedding chapel without a reservation, they will have to turn you away.
  • Book a wedding chapel that suits your needs. If you are going to have a big ceremony, you will need a larger chapel.
  • Get exactly what you want. A Las Vegas wedding is supposed to be fun. If you want to be married by an Elvis impersonator, then by all means do it.
  • Las Vegas marriages, while quick, are perfectly legal and should not be taken lightly.
