How to Create a Podcast Using ClickCaster

Did you ever wish you could get in on the podcasting trend without having to pay for software and using up your computer's hard drive storage space? Now you can—with ClickCaster. Here's how.

Things You’ll Need:

• Internet access
• Web browser
• ClickCaster account

1. Plan out the script for your podcast.
2. Sign in or create an account at ClickCaster's Web site, listed in Resources below.
3. Create your podcast. Enter the title for the show.
4. Start recording the audio using the online Java-based recorder or upload an MP3 file from your computer.
5. Enter your show notes. Choose a date for the episode.
6. If your podcast is ready to go, click Publish. If you're not done and want to do a few touch-ups before publishing, select Save as Draft.
7. Agree to the terms of service.

Tips & Warnings

• Episodes will not be available to subscribers until the episode date you select. This is a great tool if you want to air a new podcast episode while away on vacation.
• By selecting the Manage tab, you'll be able to customize the layout of your podcast and the information about it.
• RSS feeds are added to your podcast episodes.
• You can choose to have subscribers pay for episodes of your podcast; the revenues will be split 50-50 with ClickCaster.
