How to Allow Others to Post to a WordPress Blog

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • WordPress account
  • Internet connection
  • Blog
  1. Step 1

    Log in to your WordPress account and go to your dashboard.

  2. Step 2

    Click Users.

  3. Step 3

    Scroll down to Add User from Community.

  4. Step 4

    Enter the e-mail address of the WordPress user you want to add.

  5. Step 5

    Select the role you want that user to have (administrator, editor, author or contributor) from the drop-down menu.

  6. Step 6

    Click Add User.

  7. Step 7

    Repeat for additional users you want to add.

Tips & Warnings
  • Decide in advance what role you want the person you are inviting to have, whether they will contribute to the blog or share administration responsibilities.
  • To add a user on a WordPress blog, the person you are inviting must have a WordPress account.
