How to Add an iTunes Podcast Subscribe Button to a Blogger Blog

Placing an iTunes podcast button on your Blogger blog will allow you to provide readers with ready access to your podcast. This button will give you a special feature that many other Blogger sites do not.

Instructions

1. Visit iTunes and select an image that you wish to install in your Blogger blog. Note the URL location of this image.

2. Log in to your Blogger account.

3. Click on the blog that you wish to add your podcast to.

4. Click on the tab labeled "Template."

5. Insert the following link into your template with the image linked to it: . The http://www.example.com/image is the image you selected in step 1.

6. Save changes to your template.

7. Open your blog.

8. Test the link to make sure that you have the correct link uploaded.

Tips & Warnings

• The following media formats are supported by iTunes: .m4a, .mp3, .mov, .mp4, .m4v and .pdf.

• Test your link to make sure that it functions by clicking on it and launching iTunes.

• Always be careful to note where your inserted lines are on your template so that if you need to remove them or change them you can find them.

• It may take a few tries to get the format of the .xml correct.

• Always save a copy of your page prior to making a modification to your site.

• If something goes wrong, reload your site from the saved file.
