How to Add a Podcast to Yahoo Podcasts

If you have something to say and want the world to know about it, you need to add a podcast of your thoughts to Yahoo Podcasts. You will reach millions of people with your instructions and thoughts by performing this simple task.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Login to your Yahoo account. If you don't have a Yahoo account, you will need to create one.

  2. Step 2

    Create an mp3 and save it to your website. Make sure that you note exactly where you have saved this mp3.

  3. Step 3

    Log-on to Yahoo Podcases (URL below) in your favorite browser.

  4. Step 4

    Click on Publish Your Podcast.

  5. Step 5

    Place the URL of your podcast location in the box Add RSS URL.

  6. Step 6

    Fill in the categories of your podcast and the keywords so that visitors to the site can easily find your podcast.

  7. Step 7

    Finish out your podcast submission by clicking on the Save button.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that you fill in all relevant keywords so that searchers can find your podcasts quickly.
  • While adult language is permissible, limiting the amount of explicit information will allow you to reach a broader audience.
  • Keep your podcast updated along with the corresponding .xml file.
  • Make sure that you correctly denote what your website contains and the keywords to your podcast.
  • Be sure that your podcast is original and any copied material is not copyright protected.
  • Your podcast is your work. Be sure that you take pride in the quality of your broadcast by listening to it before publishing. Once it is published, the deed is done.
