Plan a Picnic for Two

In the spring and summer, a fun thing to do with your significant other is plan a picnic for two. It is a thoughtful, romantic and relaxing way to spend quality time together. Planning a picnic is easy if you know what to do.

From Quick Guide: Picnic Planning Guide
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Pick a place to have the picnic. Locations such as a rooftop or the woods make great spots.

  2. Step 2

Pick a date for your picnic. This step will take some thought. You will need Mother Nature to cooperate with you. Watch the weather and figure out which days will work best for you.

  3. Step 3

Decide what you want for an appetizer. The most common picnic starter is wine and cheese. Many wine shops offer pre-packaged wine and cheese baskets. Check with them to find the right one.

  4. Step 4

Now decide what you will want to eat. The easiest and most popular picnic food is the sandwich. It is easy to make and easy to transport.

  5. Step 5

Think about clean-up. Be sure to bring some paper towels and maybe a small bottle of soap and water. A few small garbage bags would be helpful.

  6. Step 6

Prepare the meal right before you leave for the picnic. You want the meal to be warm and fresh.

  7. Step 7

Pack a nice blanket to sit on, as well as maybe a few flowers or a small music player.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure both of your schedules are free the day you are planning to have the picnic.
  • Don't get too fancy. Simple foods are better for picnics.
  • Make the menu light. If you walked to the picnic site, you will have to walk back.
  • Check the whether ahead of time. A rainy day can ruin a picnic.
