Things You'll Need:
- Computer with Internet access for making reservations
-
Step 1
Pack appropriately. Typical of this region of Spain, Seville is classified as Mediterranean in climate. The city is known for its hot summers with temperatures averaging around 79 degrees F. Winter months are mild with temperatures averaging around 54 degrees F.
-
Step 2
Take in a bullfight at Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza for an authentic Seville experience. Be prepared for the fact that the bull is always killed at the end of the fight, though.
-
Step 1
To book accommodations, contact Spain Turismo at 011 (+34) 0030 210 61 96 991 or visit their Web site (see Resources below).
-
Step 2
Consider staying in one of the many hostels in Seville that cater to budget travelers and backpackers. Rooms in hostels are cheaper than hotel rooms, and some feature ensuite bathrooms. Most are located within walking distance of major tourist attractions like the Cathedral and Giralda.
-
Step 3
Stay in a local hotel. Seville has a number of hotels that can be considered reasonable in price (less than $150 per night), and a number of them serve breakfast.
-
Step 4
Consider staying in a pension in the area known as the Old Jewish Quarter for cheap accommodations. Pensions are cozy, mostly family-owned and much cheaper than hotels.
-
Step 1
Fly into San Pablo International Airport, which has flights to and from most major European and Spanish cities. The airport is 10 kilometers from Seville's city center.
-
Step 2
Take the train to Seville. Several routes connect at Seville's Santa Justa Train Station. You can also take the AVE, a high-speed train that goes from Seville to Madrid in less than 3 hours, although the fare is not cheap.
