In the age of digital pictures, the next step to cutting out the development booth is submitting your electronic photos to Shutterfly and having the prints sent back to you. Or, if you choose, cut out actual prints altogether and use Shutterfly to share your photos online by following these simple instructions.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet connection
  • Computer
  • Photographs
  • Digital camera
  1. Step 1

Join Shutterfly. It’s free, and you get a number of free prints with every new membership. Go to Shutterfly.com, click the Join button, enter your name and e-mail address, and submit it.

  2. Step 2

Add pictures. After you join, the first window that appears has a button that says “Add Pictures.” Click on it, and it automatically creates an album for your pictures which you’ll be able to name and otherwise edit on the next page.

  3. Step 3

Name your album according to the kind of pictures you’ll put in it, the dates of the pictures or whatever seems appropriate.

  4. Step 4

Add pictures to your album by clicking Add Pictures in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

  5. Step 5

Click the Browse button and select the file name of the picture you wish to add. Then, click the Add Picture button.

  6. Step 6

Invite people to view your album. Send them an e-mail with the link.

Tips & Warnings
  • Read the terms of agreement before posting pictures on Shutterfly so you can avoid posting inappropriate pictures.
  • JPEG file types are suggested, but Shutterfly supports other pictures types as well. If your picture isn’t showing up when you try to browse your files, select All Files under file types.
  • The pictures you submit can be any size, and Shutterfly will automatically resize them to fit the Web site if they are too large.
