Halo and Halo 2 have been two of the most influential games in the first-person shooter market. Excellent graphics, a surprisingly deep storyline and some cool gear make this game worth playing a few times over. While the multiplayer aspects of Halo are the most talked-about, the single-player campaign should not be missed.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Watch your ammo. Ammunition is not always plentiful, especially on harder difficulty levels. None of the weapons have renewable ammo, so watch those counters!

  2. Step 2

Switch out weapons when you run dry. Nearly every enemy you fight will drop their weapon when they die. If your ammunition runs out, grab a fallen enemy’s weapon.

  3. Step 3

Keep your allies alive. Unlike earlier shooter games where your allies were little more than targets, the few friends you’ll have in Halo 2 are invaluable as comrades. Keep them safe!

  4. Step 4

Use the shotgun in close quarters. When it comes to looking your enemy in the eye and blasting him with something at close range, the shotgun is king.

  5. Step 5

Double-wield those submachine guns when you get a chance. They burn through ammo extremely fast, but they take down baddies in record time.

  6. Step 6

Take careful aim when using the sniper rifle. Ammunition for this monster is precious, so treat it with respect.

  7. Step 7

Run from cover to cover. Bits of rock and building can save your life. Shoot from cover and run to the next bit.

  8. Step 8

Take a break if you need it. Your shield will replenish itself if you give it a little time.

  9. Step 9

Use grenades to clear out rooms. Just remember that the blue plasma grenades stick to things, including you.
