Understand the person minus any implications of psychic ability. If it's a friend or family member that has suddenly realized they possess psychic powers, try to figure out why. Often, this is an assertion of a child's rebelliousness and is probably a phase. If it is a close friend, you need to be sensitive to any needs or unconscious concerns they have.

Be polite. Often a person will feel deeply moved by their newfound abilities or religion. You wouldn't mock a devout Buddhist or a Trappist monk, so don't be disparaging to your friends for their beliefs.

Professional psychics do not want to get people "hooked". I detest reading for psychic "addicts". They're a headache and they do not listen. Those that get "hooked" usually have some underlying psychological disorder, OCD for example. I don't know a single genuine psychic that enjoys dealing with this and we generally tell people with an addiction or compulsion to move on and stop calling. You should be cautious of anyone asking for money in any area of life. However, if one is a professional psychic, they get paid for their time just as anyone else gets paid for their time. If you don't want to pay for a psychic's time, do not ask for a reading.

psychics are not of the devil, sice Jesus MUST of been a psychic himself. Psychics are just people with highly keen spiritual sense and may be able to talk to divine forces. Jesus did perform these miracles, as Christians say,so he must of been one. Don't play God and say which powers are from what. Being a Wiccan I have no such interest in the bible but whatever.

There are some truly gifted people out there and it is NOT up to you and me to decide if God gave them the gifts or not. and its spliting hairs where psychic and discernment of spirits are concerned( you say tomato I say tomatoe)
