A story-based podcast is a series of podcasts that you can publish periodically, either daily, weekly or monthly, based on the content. Here's how to do it.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open the voice recorder program or any software you may have downloaded from your podcast Web site.

  2. Step 2

Click record. You will need a microphone.

  3. Step 3

After you have finished recording your session, save the audio file to your media device (Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, iTunes, etc.).

  4. Step 4

From there you can download it into your iPod or mp3 player.

  5. Step 5

If you want to share it, go to your podcast Web site.

  6. Step 6

Log in, go to your profile and upload your file.

  7. Step 7

When your file is completed, save and submit it. From there you will be able to link it to other Web sites.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure your audio tour is accurate, to the point and of good quality. Side notes are good to include if they have relevance.
  • Test your file and the links to see if they are working properly.
  • Read all the user and license agreements before uploading anything to a site.
  • When uploading your podcast to your Web site, be sure to upload it in binary format. In any other format, you will risk corrupting your file.
