Just ask him. Sounds too simple to work, doesn’t it? Well, guys know that it takes a lot of courage to ask someone out, and if the girl does the asking, then you’ve saved him a lot of trouble. You probably already know how to ask a guy out on a date better than he knows how to ask you out. Use your flirting muscles to set the stage for the question.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start flirting. You know how to do it, so use your best tricks.

  2. Step 2

Give good eye contact. Too little and you look nervous in a bad way; too much and you could make them uncomfortable.

  3. Step 3

Smile. Again, you’re shooting for a nice middle ground. Not too toothy, but not too spare.

  4. Step 4

Laugh with him. Guys love to think they are witty little beasts.

  5. Step 5

Make brief physical contact. A light touch on the arm will do just fine.

  6. Step 6

Pop the question. This is your chance to give the guy a good idea of what to expect on the date. A really casual delivery suggests your basic night out with the guys kind of thing. A more enticing delivery sends a clear signal as well.

  7. Step 7

Decide together what you will do. Since this is your first date, a good compromise would be best.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don’t want to ask for a date initially, then ask for his email or cell number. You can arrange to meet later.
  • A little nervousness can be endearing, because the guy picks up on this as an indication of how much you like him. Too much nervousness and the guy might think you have some kind of disorder that might be contagious.
  • Your success rate will increase dramatically if your date fits into your target guy’s idea of fun. Sure, some guys will pounce on the chance to spend an afternoon looking at crochet hooks, but most won’t. Don’t handicap yourself.
  • Skip the whole mess. Manipulate him into asking you.
