How to Search for Hourly Jobs Using SnagAJob

SnagAJob is known for its comprehensive listing of hourly jobs across the United States. Some of these jobs are also full-time. The site is ideal for anyone who would like to have flexibility and fewer working hours. Here’s how you can search for hourly jobs using SnagAJob.

Instructions

    Basic Search

  1. Step 1

    Go to the SnagAJob Web site.

  2. Step 2

    The basic search on SnagAJob is based on zip code. Enter your zip code in the "Zip Code" field.

  3. Step 3

    Click "Search Jobs" to view opportunities available in the specified zip code. The results page lists all relevant hourly jobs in and around the specified zip code area. Explore the desired jobs further to determine if they pay hourly or otherwise. A list of employers appears to the left of the page. Browse through the list and select an organization name to view specific opportunities.

  4. Advanced Search

    Click "More Search Options" located below the "Search Jobs" button in the "Search Jobs" section on the SnagAJob homepage. The advanced search options are displayed in the "Search Criteria" section of the resulting page.

  6. Step 2

    Enter the required zip code in the "Enter Zip Code" field.

  7. Step 3

    Select a distance you are willing to commute from the "Search Within" drop-down list.

  8. Step 4

    Use the following optional fields to scope your search: Filter the jobs by selecting an appropriate job category from the "Filter by Category" drop-down list. Use the "Per Page" drop-down list to select the number of postings you want to view on a single results page. Specify the desired job title in the "Enter Job Title" textbox and select the "Show Brief Job Descriptions" checkbox to view a job summary. Enter the required city name and select the relevant two letter state code.

  9. Step 5

    Click "Search" to view opportunities matching the search criteria.

    Scroll down to the last section named "Other Browsing Options". The links "Featured Employers", "City" and "State" show opportunities by companies, cities and states respectively.

  • Sign up to receive email notifications about newly posted, relevant jobs.
  • Register for a free profile on SnagAJob. You can save the search results for viewing later. Registration also provides access to SnagAJob’s newsletter that includes tips and guidelines on finding a part-time job.
  • Narrowing down a search too much may not show any leads.
