Coolworks is the ideal Web site for people looking for seasonal work such as summer and winter jobs. It is particularly useful for teenagers, college students and others who want some work experience but do not have enough time or education for a full-time job. Although Coolworks does not have a separate category of summer jobs, several jobs posted on Coolworks are just those. Here's how you can find a summer job on Coolworks.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the Coolworks Web site.

  2. Step 2

Click any of the tabs displayed at the top of the page. For example, if you enjoy summer camps and would like to make some money, click on "Camp jobs" to view a listing of jobs available at various summer camps. Each job displayed in the list shows tiny images to indicate if the opportunity is a summer, fall, winter or spring job. Summer camp jobs can be identified by the sun icon.

  3. Step 3

Alternatively, scroll down to end of the page to view the "Google" powered search feature at Coolworks. Enter summer jobs in the text field and click "Search" to view all summer job listings.

  4. Step 4

Use the "More Adventures" menu located to the left of the page to explore additional seasonal jobs. The "What's New" link lists latest postings. "Older and Bolder" and "Teen Jobs" respectively show opportunities appropriate for senior citizens and teenagers. Internships and volunteer links should be used to browse though various apprenticeships and volunteering vacancies. Clicking "Jobs by State" shows state specific lists of all seasonal jobs. You can also select a state from the "Pick a State" drop-down list.

Tips & Warnings
  • Foreign nationals aiming to work summer jobs in the United States can get visa-related information by clicking the "International Applicants" link of the "Resources" section appearing to the right of the page. Selecting "Internationals" from the "Job Seekers" menu located to the left of the screen also displays the same information.
  • Become a Coolworks member and create email alerts to receive email notification about new leads.
