How to Watch Your Own Movies on TVs in The Sims 2

While the voices and music in The Sims 2 are no doubt amusing, the videos used when the Sims watch TV leave a little to be desired. How would you like to see your own videos there? It can be done!

Instructions

1. Find a video you'd like your Sims to see. Make sure the file is relatively short and small (128x128 pixels is about the max.)

2. Copy the file by selecting Edit, Copy or pressing CTRL+C.

3. Go into your local hard drive (or wherever you have The Sims 2 installed.)

4. Open up the EA GAMES folder.

5. Go into the basic The Sims 2 folder.

6. Head into the TSData folder.

7. Open the Res folder.

8. Open the Movies folder.

9. Open the Broadcast folder. Inside, you'll find the folders for all the various TV stations your Sims can watch. Do you want them to see this video when they're exercising? Watching the news? Enjoying a cooking show?

10. Paste your video into whichever folder you like. You're done! The next time your Sims watch that station, you should see your movie instead of the default one!

Tips & Warnings

• The video file you use must be an .avi file, and a rather small one, because it must fit on a tiny screen. Files with a picture bigger than 128x128 pixels probably won't work.
