You can organize the information in any Wikipedia article with a table. The online encyclopedia allows its account holders to make its articles even better with their input. Follow these steps to open an account and make a table.

Go to Wikipedia's main page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page. You can also key in Wikipedia in any search engine..

Go to the top-right corner of the page. Click on "Create Account." Register by providing a username and a unique password. The account is created immediately. Your username will appear in red at the top of the page.

Go to the search box and enter the name of the article you want to edit. Click on either "Go" or "Enter."

Click on "Edit This Page" or the "Edit" button on the side of each section. This takes you to the edit page.

Insert a curly bracket and a vertical bar to start a table. The format should look like the following: "{|." On the second line, add a caption for the table after inserting a vertical bar and a plus sign "| +." For example, "| + Caption." With this example, "Caption" would be the heading of the table. Insert whatever you want your caption to be. Type "!" to create a column heading. The format would be "! Column heading 1 ! ! Column heading 2 ! ! Column heading 3." Remember that the column heading should be in bold and centered.

Start a row by inserting a vertical bar followed by a hyphen "| -." Key in the codes of each table cell with a bar "|" in the next row. You can insert as many rows as you want.

Separate the cell with a double bar "| |" in the same line. The format should be "| cell 1 | | cell 2 | | cell 3." You can also separate the cell with a vertical bar on each new line. Start the first cell of the row with "!." This will create a row heading.

End the table with a vertical bar and a curly bracket " | }."
