You can watch Wikipedia articles as well as read them. Find accompanying video files marked with blue words. With one click, those hyperlinks will bring words to life. You can upload a video almost as easily with your own Wikipedia account. Follow these steps to open an account and upload your own video contribution.

Open an account in Wikipedia

Step1
Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page. You can also key in "Wikipedia" in search engines like Google or Yahoo.
Step2
Go to the top right corner of the page. Click on "Sign in/create account." Register yourself by providing a Username and Password. Once you've been added, your Username will appear in red on the top of the page.

Step1
Once you've logged into your account, click on "upload file" blue link on the left-hand side. It's the third link in the "toolbox" section just below the search box.
Step2
Download the free Ogg Theora converter from Google or Wikipedia.
Step3
Wikipedia accept only Ogg Theora video files. Convert your .mov, .mpg, .mpeg and .avi videos and upload.
Step4
Insert the caption of the video file in between two square brackets. This will display the file as a link. One example is the following: [[Image: Concert Video.ogg| as seen in Mozart’s composition at the concert in New York in the year 2006]].
Step5
Preview and save.
