How to Link to a Related Article in Wikipedia

Wikipedia's interactive format makes finding related articles on its site easy. With a hyperlink--commonly known as a link--you can jump to more information. Just click on the blue words. Follow these steps to start searching Wikipedia.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page. You can also key in "Wikipedia" in search engines like Google or Yahoo.
Step2
Key in the name of the subject you want in the search box on the left side of the page.
Step3
Click on "go" or press "enter." You will be directed automatically to the article.
Step4
Read the article. Click on blue words for more information about them. This link will take you to a related article on another page.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the links which are relevant to you otherwise it would be tedious to read all links.
  • Red words mark a topic Wikipedia would like to have an article for. With a Wikipedia account, you could add information.
