Open an Account in Wikipedia

Enter the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page in your internet browser to get to the Main Page of Wikipedia. You can also key in 'Wikipedia' in search engines Google or Yahoo.

Go to the top right corner of the page. Click on 'Create account' and register by providing your username and a unique password. The account gets created immediately and the username you selected will display on top of the page.

Go to the edit tab/box of the article in which you need to show/insert the image.

Enter 'frame' in the syntax so that the original size of the image is displayed.

Insert 'thumb' in the syntax to view the image in 180 pixels or as selected by the reader in their account preferences.

Avoid usage of bold text in the caption.
When the image cannot be viewed, alternative text replaces the image. But the image syntax can't specify an alternative text so make sure the caption fully describes the image.
