Wikipedia is an online enclyclopedia that allows you to create or edit an article. You can write your comments or edit articles in Wikipedia by opening an account. Here’s how to add a comment to a Wikipedia article.

Open an Account in Wikipedia

Step1
Enter the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page in your internet browser to get to the Main Page of Wikipedia. You can also key in 'Wikipedia' in search engines Google or Yahoo.
Step2
Go to the top right corner of the page. Click on ‘Create account’ and register by providing your username and a unique password. The account gets created immediately and the username you selected will display on top of the page.

Add a Comment to a Wikipedia Article

Step1
Enter the address www.Wikipedia.org in your internet browser to go to the Main Page of Wikipedia and sign in using your username and password.
Step2
Go to the specific article you want and click on the ‘Discussion’ tab/box on top of the article page.
Step3
Click on the link ‘click here to start a new topic’ and go to the edit page.
Step4
Write the comments that you want to insert for the article.
Step5
End your comment by typing four tildes ‘~’ and sign it. The four tildes create a timestamp for your comment.
Step6
See the Preview and save the page before closing.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make the comment short and specific.
  • Avoid making personal remarks in a comment.
