How to Send Your Sims on a Date in the Sims 2

So you've got a couple that are head over heels in love. Wonderful! But haven't you ever wished they could spend a night out on the town together? Paint the town red, have a good time? Now they can, with your help.

Things You'll Need

• The Sims 2: Nightlife

Instructions

1. Pick or make a couple to send on a date. Any couple that is in love or shares mutual crushes can go on a date, even teenagers.

2. Choose a place for them to go. They can stay at home, but that kind of defeats the purpose of going on a date, huh? Try a restaurant, café or shopping trip.

3. 

   Have one of your Sims ask their crush/love on a date. If you're going out, call a taxi (or take their own car) and pick a fun destination, or...

4. Take your bachelor/bachelorette out to a public place and have them try to pick up a date.

5. 

   Take a look at the date meter that appears in the upper right part of the screen once you're on a date. This tells you how well your date is going.

6. Enjoy each other's company! The more fun you have together, the higher the date meter rises. If you're having a great time, laughing and cavorting, the meter will rise towards Dream Date, and a very good memory! If your Sims are not speaking, are arguing or are not having a good time, the meter will drop and they will develop a bad memory.

7. Try something new! In the Nightlife expansion, your Sims can go bowling, dancing, sing Karaoke or play poker all night! You've only got so much time to have fun together, so make it a good date!

8. 

   Wind up the evening. As the time left on the date dwindles, make sure it ends on as good a note as possible. Sometimes dates go sour. It happens. Either try and salvage what you can or just go all out and make it the worst date possible! Either way should be fun to watch!

• Watch out! After a particularly bad date, your jilted lover may try to leave a bit of unpleasantness on your doorstep!
