How to Get a Job and be Successful in The Sims 2

Unless you're cheating, your Sims have to earn a living somehow. Most Sims can't get by on selling paintings and novels unless they've got extra cash to burn and small bills to pay. So how do you get your Sims earning those cold, hard Simoleans?

Instructions

1. 

   Look at their interests. What kind of job would your Sim be good at? What kind of job would they like? Police, Science, Military, Slacker or Politics?

2. Look at their aspirations. When you first start out, most Sims will tell you (down in their Aspiration Bar) what kind of job they'd like to get.

3. 

   Check the local paper or go online if you Sim has a computer. You can search up to three jobs per day in the paper, or four online. Jobs will reset every day.

4. Click Search Again if you can't find the job you want.

5. Click Take Job when the perfect match comes along (which it will, sooner or later).

6. Keep your Sim happy and keep fulfilling their wants! If they go to work happy, they'll get promoted. If they go to work in a foul mood, they may get demoted or even fired!

7. Make new friends! Its all about who you know. The more friends you have, the more connections you have available to help you get promoted.

8. Keep on learning! As your Sims progress in their career, they will need to develop new skills to continue advancing. Don't forget to have them study and work out! It will pay off!

• DO NOT miss work! You can miss one day of work. After that, you're fired!
