How to Add a Link to Your eHow Article in Your Signature with Microsoft Outlook

If you want to share your eHow article with lots of people, try adding your eHow to the signature on your email account. This way, your friends, family and co-workers will see the link every time you send an email.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • computer & an Internet connection
  • account with Microsoft Outlook
  • a great eHow
  1. Step 1

    Login to your Microsoft Outlook Email. Click on Options at the bottom of the page on the left. You are now on the edit options page

  2. Step 2

    Under Messaging Options, check the box next to Automatically include my signature on outgoing messages. This way, after you add your link to your signature, your link will appear at the bottom of all outgoing email messages

  3. Step 3

    Now click Edit Signature. You are now on the edit signature page. Now you need to find the URL, or link, to your article.

  4. Step 4

    Go to www.ehow.com. At the top of the page in the middle, enter the title of your article in the Google search box. To the right of the search box be sure to click on the “eHow” box. Then click “search”. Your article should appear on the “search results”. Left click on your article.

  5. Step 5

    Now you need to copy the URL of your article. At the top of the page, where it says address, left click on the address. Then, Right click on the highlighted part and drag the mouse down to copy.

  6. Step 6

    Return to the edit signature page. Now you need to paste the URL onto your signature. Right click and paste the URL.

  7. Step 7

    Now you can write something above the link in your signature that will tell people to click on the link. You could write something like, Read this article I wrote about guitar tuning.

  8. Step 8

    Now you need to save the changes to your signature. Click Save and Close at the top of the page on the left.

  9. Step 9

    Now you should check that you successfully added the link to your signature. Test your signature out by sending an email to yourself. Your link to your article should appear at the bottom of the page.

  10. Step 10

    Congratulations, you have successfully added a link to your awesome eHow article on your signature in Microsoft Outlook.

on 7/15/2008 Great suggestions, and especially since I already have my sig file set up in Outlook Express. Never thought to add my eHow URLs though. How about doing one to just the profile where all the articles are posted? That would work just as well, right? 5 stars
