How to Promote My Ezine

Ezine promotion is one of the most important aspects of running an ezine. If you don't get readers, it won't matter how attractive your ezine is or how useful the information you publish is. Your readers will make your ezine. That's all there is to it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
The best way to attract a readership is to publish good, original and valuable content.
Step2
List your ezine in ezine directories.
Step3
Write articles. Submit them to article directories. In your author resource box, plug your ezine and include a link to your ezine opt-in page.
Step4
On your Web site, have an opt-in form on every page.
Step5
Offer something for free to get people to join. A free e-book, a package of some sort or a service they wouldn't get anywhere else.
Step6
Purchase advertising in other ezines.
Step7
Exchange ads with other ezine publishers and Web sites.
Step8
Attend industry trade shows, conferences and other professional events. Get e-mail addresses of people you meet and ask if they want to opt-in to your ezine list.
Step9
Advertise offline. Include your Web site URL in all of your advertising. Of course, send people to your ezine opt-in page.
Step10
Sponsor a contest and announce the winner in your ezine. That will encourage subscriptions.
Step11
Promote your ezine through your blog.
Step12
Send press releases to your local newspapers and online press release directories.

Tips & Warnings

  • Everywhere you go you should announce your ezine. Get people talking about it.
  • Make sure that all of your communications are clear about the focus of your ezine and your intended audience. You can get a big list of people who are bad prospects, but a shorter list of targeted prospects is a lot better.
