How to Add Your eHow Article to Facebook Feed

You have written an awesome article on ehow.com. Now you want to share it with your friends. How do you do this? Add the link to your article to your facebook.com profile. Adding this to your profile will also add the link to the “News Feed and Mini Feed” of your friends on the facebook.com network. The “News Feed and Mini Feed” updates people of changes to your profile. Follow these instructions to share the article on www.facebook.com.

Things You'll Need:

  • Facebook account (instructions on setting one up below)
  • Computer
  • eHow article to share
  • Internet connection
  1. Step 1

    Login to www.Facebook.com. If you already have an account on facebook.com, proceed to step 4. Otherwise, click “register” at the top left side of the page. You are now on the “Create Your Account” page.

  2. Step 2

    Enter all your information into all the fields on the page. Enter your full name, select an option under “I am”, enter your email, enter your birthday, choose a password and copy the text in the box for the security check. Next, click on “Terms of Use”. Read these terms. Then, check the box next to “I have read and agree to the ‘Terms of Use’. Click “Register Now!” at the bottom of the page. You are on the “confirm your email address” page.

    Now you must confirm your email address. To do this, open your email from facebook.com. Click on the link under “confirm your email address”.

  4. Step 4

    Now you are logged into facebook.com. The page should say “Welcome [your name]"

  5. Step 5

    Now you want to add the link to your article to your profile. On the left side of the page, click “edit” next to “My Profile”. You are now on the “Edit My Profile” page.

  6. Step 6

    Click “Contact” near the top of the page. Scroll down to where it says “website”. You can enter a link to your article here.

  7. Step 7

    Now you need to find the link to your article. The link is also known as the “URL” or “web address” of your article. To do this, go to www.ehow.com. At the top of the page in the middle, enter the title of your article in the “Google search box”. To the right of the search box be sure to click on the “eHow” box. Then click “search”. Your article should appear on the “search results”. Left click on your article.

  8. Step 8

    Now you need to copy the URL of your article. At the top of the page, where it says “address”, left click on the address. Then, Right click on the highlighted part and drag the mouse down to “copy”.

  9. Step 9

    Now you need to paste the URL of your article onto your profile. Return to the “contact” section of the “edit my profile” section of facebook.com. Right click and click on “paste” in the box next to “website:”. Click “Save Changes” at the bottom.

  10. Step 10

    Now you need to check that the link is on your profile. Click on “My Profile” at the top left corner of the page. You are now looking at your profile. Look under “information” next to “website” to be sure your link is on your profile.

  11. Step 11

    Congratulations. By adding your link to your profile, it will show that you updated your profile on your “News Feed and Mini-Feed”

Tips & Warnings
  • To keep the link in the News Feed and Mini-Feed, periodically add and remove the link to keep the “story” in the Feed.
