How to Show Google’s Cache of a Web Site

While searching the Net, Google indexes Web pages and adds them to its cache (secondary storage). If the cache has information relevant to your keyword, Google provides a cache link beneath the search results. Cache is especially useful if a certain page does not open for any reason. In such cases, you can use Google’s cache to access the last stored version of that page. Here’s how you can use Google’s cache.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Go to the Google homepage, www.google.com.
Step2
Enter your keyword in the search box.
Step3
Click on the ‘cached’ link next to the URL of the listing.

Tips & Warnings

  • The cached information is not necessarily the latest update for a Web page. Check the cache date in such cases.
  • The cached link will not be available for Web sites that have not been indexed or those that requested not to be cached.
