Before leaving for Las Vegas, it is probably a good idea to get hold of a few tourist guides or go online and learn more about Vegas to make the most of your trip. Eating in Las Vegas is also an experience in itself. Here's how to find Las Vegas restaurants online.

1. Go online and pull out the home page of your favorite search engine, such as Google or Yahoo.

2. Search using keywords such as 'Las Vegas restaurants' and note that a long list of results will come up. View some of the Web sites, and see if any catch your fancy.

3. Visit popular dining and restaurant-oriented Web sites (see below).

4. Get a handy map of Las Vegas from Web sites such as www.mapquest.com, www.lonelyplanet.com, maps.google.com and so on. Understand the areas and attractions of Las Vegas. Locate your hotel, areas of interest, attractions and so on and their location on the map. Look for restaurants near these places.

5. Search by area or neighborhood. Use keywords such as strip, downtown, eastside and westside.

6. Search by type of cuisine. For example, American, Italian, Jewish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Lebanese, Latin, Ethiopian or any other type of cuisine that you want to explore.
