China cabinets are a great way to put your best plates on display. Although building a china cabinet can be difficult, its many variations give you the freedom to design a cabinet specific to your display needs. Follow these steps to learn how to build a china cabinet.

  • Wood
  • Wood glue
  • Nails
  • Tools
  1. Step 1

    Choose a design that best fits your needs. Make sure your design will fit in its intended space.

  2. Step 2

    Make a detailed list of the materials needed. Include extra material in your list for mistakes or lost pieces.

  3. Step 3

    Measure all of your wood pieces carefully. Mark your measurements lightly using a pencil.

  4. Step 4

    Cut all of your pieces to the specified length. Take your time to ensure accuracy.

  5. Making the Frame

    Start constructing the frame of your china cabinet by attaching the sides to the back of the cabinet. Make sure the sides are attached securely and tightly.
