How to Grab Screen Shots of your Browser

Your are surfing the web and you see something cool or interesting that you want to share with others. Sure, you can send the URL, but you can also capture – or “grab” a picture of your computer screen and paste into a file such as word or powerpoint.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with an internet connection
  • Windows 2000 OS
  1. Step 1
     

    Turn on your computer and open up your browser.

  2. Step 2

    Size your browser to the proportions you want for the screenshot. Take into consideration what you will be pasting the image into and how it will fit.

  3. Step 3
     

    Hold down the Alt key on the lower left side of your keyboard. Then hit the Print Screen key.

  4. Step 4
     

    Open up the file that you want to paste into, such as Word or Powerpoint. Then you can either use your mouse and right click and select paste, or you can use your keyboard and hold down the Ctrl key and hit the V letter key. Both methods will paste the screen shot into your file.

  5. Step 5
     

    If you would like to modify the screen shot, you can also paste the image into Microsoft Paint. From this program you can make changes or additions to the image.
