Step 1
At the end of your meal. Evaluate if the service is worthy of an average tip or outstanding tip. Tip a little more for outstanding service.

A good rule of thumb is to tip 15-20% on the food and 10-15% on the alcohol.

Here is a short list of the tips you may want to provide during your visit:
* Food Server - 15-20%
* Bartender - 15-20% or $1 per drink.
* Wine Steward - 10% of wine bill.
* Coat Check - $1
* Restroom Attendant - $1

on 1/29/2008 "were verbally torn to pieces when they left poor tips" I hope not to their faces...that would be bad for business. The last thing a restaraunt wants or needs is bad press.
