How to Obtain Masamune Date's Fifth Weapon in Samurai Warriors

This is one of the hardest ultimate weapons to get simply because there is a lot do to and a lot of your officers to keep from dying. You'll definitely need a friend for this one but the rewards are great. Masamune's "Mikaboshi" swords are some of the coolest of the ultimate weapons and are twice his size. Come on, you know you want to see them.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

    Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Get a good fourth weapon, ideally with two or more bonuses at +20 or better.

  2. Step 2

    Power him up all the way or reset his stats to make enemies easier.

  3. Step 3

    Obtain the Battle Drum. You'll need it.

  4. Step 4

    Bring a companion. This will help a lot.

  5. The Battle

  6. Step 1

    Start Masamune's Attack on Honnouji stage on Hard difficulty.

  7. Step 2

    Be aware that if any of your allies die, you must start over.

  8. Step 3

    Head south and eliminate the defense captain.

  9. Step 4

    Go inside the fort and eliminate the defense captain.

  10. Step 5

    Head to the eastern side of the temple and defeat the defense captain that shows up.

  11. Step 6

    Head all the way up north and defeat the defense captain that comes to greet you.

  12. Step 7

    Get to the blue X before the Akechi army breeches the walls.

  13. Step 8

    Save your game.

  14. Step 9

    Begin eliminating officers. Try and lure them away one at a time.

  15. Step 10

    Defeat Mitsuhide Akechi when he gets near.

  16. Step 11

    Defeat the Oda officers, leaving Keiji Maeda for last.

  17. Step 12

    Defeat Keiji Maeda. The supply unit should appear near the center of the map.

  18. Step 13

    Defeat the Supply Captain for your weapon.

  19. Step 14

    Save again.

  20. Step 15

    Go defeat Nobunaga and enjoy your massive Mikaboshi swords.
