How to Master Kunoichi in Samurai Warriors

Kunoichi is one of the coolest and fastest characters in the game, despite not actually getting a name. “Kunoichi” means “female ninja” in Japanese, so the character “Kunoichi” could be anyone. Despite this, Kunoichi is an excellent character and is a bit difficult to master because she is somewhat specialized.

Instructions

1. Run Kunoichi, run! One of her greatest assets, as you might expect from a ninja, is speed. You will never need to give Kunoichi the tengu sandals or a horse because she is naturally faster than every horse in the game.

2. Spin, spin, spin! Kunoichi’s musou attack is one of the best for clearing large groups. She spins in circles clashing with everyone! The trick is to knock a mob surrounding you down to about half health, THEN pop the musou. This will maximize your musou K.O. count and score you more points.

3. Use her primary charge attack to run into an approaching mob. If you use this attack while you are already engaged, you run the risk of getting chopped in the back while you charge. This both stops your charge and hurts!

4. Use her second and third charge attacks to take out groups. Her third charge attack in particular is devastating to both mobs and officers.

5. Compensate. Kunoichi’s strength is on the low side, so equip her with the Power Bracer to help her hit a bit harder. Upgrade her Drive skill for an added charge attack power bonus.

6. Utilize the attics! If you happen to be charging through a castle and are low on health, look for a ladder leading up (usually at the ends of corridors). Double-jumping up there will reveal several barrels with power-ups; one is always a health boost.

7. Keep your eyes open. It may take some looking for a couple instances in which Kunoichi and Hanzo can use a secret “Ninja path” to assassinate an enemy general. Double jump up to it and enjoy a short time without enemies.

Tips & Warnings

• Only Hazo and Kunoichi can double jump up ladders to power-up stations, so use them whenever you can, especially during survival mode!
• Don’t rely too heavily on her attack string. Kunoichi’s main attack string is ok, but its ending is a bit weak. While it is cool to watch her roundhouse an enemy general, the kicks don’t do as much damage as her daggers. Try her third charge attack string as much as possible: it's longer and hurts more.
• Be careful! Even though Kunoichi is unnaturally fast and strikes quickly, she doesn’t have much health or defense. Be careful engaging big mobs from within and consider equipping health and defense boosting items.
