Although the history surrounding the wife of Nobunaga Oda is hazy at best, her performance in Samurai Warriors is nothing short of superb. Though not the most powerful of fighters, Noh is very fast, has excellent crowd control and solid defense. Here are a few tips to get her fighting at her peak.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Unlock Lady Noh first. To play Noh, you must first complete Ranmaru Mori’s story mode.

  2. Step 2

Be cautious. Noh’s biggest drawback is her weak attack power. She may hit fast, but she doesn’t hit hard. Compensate for her lack of power by either equipping power-boosting items or using her combos instead of trying to power-hit opponents.

  3. Step 3

String them along. Lots of Noh’s moves combo very well, leaving opponents dazed and confused, not to mention covered in cuts. Use her combo and charge attacks to leave them wondering what just hit them.

  4. Step 4

Control those crowds. Noh also has a fair number of moves that work wonders for clearing mobs of enemies. Use them, and her musou as often as possible.

  5. Step 5

Use her second charge attack. On her second charge attack (square, square, triangle) Noh does a devastating jump attack at a small number of enemies, then snaps back, slashes them again and tosses a bomb at them. This works wonders on enemy officers and ninjas.

  6. Step 6

Use her third charge attack. Noh’s third charge attack is one of the best crowd clearing moves out there. It sweeps a huge number of enemies aside and ends with a final stroke that makes it great against both mobs and officers.

  7. Step 7

Be careful with her musou. Because Noh’s musou attack is somewhat weak, save it until you are surrounded big a big mob in front of you that is at or below half their normal life. If its possible, try and back up against a wall before you do. As she is throwing bombs, Noh slowly backs up, making it hard to kill the enemies you started bombing in the first place. Backing against a wall keeps her in roughly the same place.

  8. Step 8

Purchase elemental attacks. Buy the elemental attacks that correspond to her second and third charge attacks. This will make them all the more dangerous, especially with a Darkness element on your weapon.

  9. Step 9

Jump! Be wary in castles. Although Noh runs fast, her reaction time is a little slow, and it may not be enough for her to avoid the pit traps. Learn to recognize them and either avoid them or get used to her slight delay.

  10. Step 10

Do not jump slam in a castle! As mentioned, Noh is not the greatest at avoiding pit traps. Take extra care that you DO NOT attempt to use her jumping slam attack as you are jumping over a pit. She finishes the move by flipping backwards, which may toss you right into the trap you just avoided.

  11. Step 11

Watch for the surprise! With her first charge attack, Noh sometimes throws a few things other than bombs. Sometimes she drops a regular bomb, sometimes it’s a smoke bomb. Sometimes she throws regular bombs, sometimes she throws rice balls. They don’t seem to do much, but it is strange to watch her toss odd things into crowds.

  12. Step 12

Bring it on! Noh is one of the most stylish characters out there and has quite a venomous condescension towards her adversaries. Many find this amusing and will use her just for the spite she causes in her enemies.
