Candida is an infection that is caused by a sudden and excessive growth of Candida Albicans, which is normally a harmless resident of our body. Its causes include consumption of too many antibiotics, antacids, steroids or oral contraceptives. Diabetes, a diet that is rich in sugar, chemotherapy, pregnancy, infections and wounds are also causes.
