These steps include some remedies for altitude sickness. If you are seriously ill, however, consult your doctor.

Things You’ll Need:

  • water
  • plenty of rest

Step1
Try spending a night at a lower elevation first. This allows your body to get used to the change in altitude.
Step2
Drink plenty of fluids. Stay hydrated. At higher altitudes, there is less oxygen for your body. Do not also deprive your body of water.
Step3
Eat light meals. Eat pasta and bread.
Step4
Descend to a lower elevation.

Tips & Warnings

  • Avoid alcohol.
  • Avoid caffeine.
  • If you feel really sick then go to the doctor.
