Confirm your VoicePulse system is installed and set up. To dial a number, simply pick up the phone and press the number. Be sure to enter an area code when making long distance calls. For international calls, dial the International Code followed by its area code and phone number.

Learn how to use basic features provided with VoicePulse plan. The caller ID, caller ID block, call waiting, call transfer and three-way calling are important basic features provided with the VoicePulse plan.

Explore the caller ID feature. You can identify callers for incoming calls and also send your identification across for outgoing calls using this feature. In order to block your caller ID on outgoing calls, dial *67 before the specific number. To unblock, dial *82. This will restore the original settings.

Explore the call block feature. This is a unique feature that is not provided by many VoIP service providers. You can block anonymous calls by dialing *160. Pressing the same code again will turn off the anonymous calls block. An associate feature to assist this is the anonymous call prompting. Dial *161 to prompt the callers to enter their phone number. When you see question marks (???) signs along with the number, you can identify an anonymous caller and either ignore the call or divert it to the voice mail box. Dial *150 to turn off/on the telemarketer's call block. You can also login to the Web site account and edit the setting of this feature.

Learn more about the call waiting feature. By default, this feature is enabled on your VoIP phone. Dial *70 to disable call waiting. Go to your "Account details" by logging into VoicePulse website. You may permanently disable your call waiting. Go to settings and edit your feature profile.

Learn the shortcut to return a call. To return the last incoming call, simply dial *69.

Optimize your calling options by exploring the three-way calling feature. By using this feature three parties can have a phone conference. To use this feature, first dial the phone number of the first party. On reply, dial Flash or switch hook on your phone. Then dial the phone number of the second party and on reply, dial Flash or switch hook on your phone. All the three parties (including you) are now connected and each party can hear the other two parties.

Learn how to use advanced features (provided free) of VoicePulse service that include enhanced calling, distinctive incoming call ringing, 7-digit dialing, speed dial, do not disturb, international call block, call hunt and many more.

Activate your voice mail. Dial *120 to turn on and off your voice mail. You can access your voice mail box to retrieve, save or delete voice mails by dialing *123 followed by a password. Make sure you set a password when you activate your voice mail along with a greeting. When accessing the voice mail, dial 0 for more options and dial 4 for changing your password.

Find detailed navigation menu for voicemail on the website (see link below). Learn to retrieve your voicemail box using your email account.

Identify callers by distinctive ring tones. This helps to manage your phone calls more efficiently. Dial 411 or 1-xxx-1212 for directory assistance on using this feature. The charges are 75 cents per call. Select the incoming line, primary number, virtual number or caller you would like to apply the distinctive ring to and then choose the ring tone you would like to use.

Record the list of speed dials. You can have up to 99 phone numbers on the speed dial registry. Select the speed dial shortcut to use from #1 to #99. Enter the U.S. or international number to dial. This will save the shortcut. To make a call, simply enter the shortcut speed dial code.

Engage your phone to the "Do not disturb" feature. To activate, dial *140 and the same to turn off. Dial *141 to turn prompting on/off. Prompting informs the caller that you do not wish to be disturbed.
