Step1
Switch on your Media Center PC. The operating system is Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. You may have setup connections with your TV and home theater, though primarily you can use it for personal computing with relative ease.
Step2
Ensure that the computer monitor is connected. You can also use the TV as your monitor to work on programs and files.
Step3
Click on the start button and you will be able to access the menu. Browse the available programs. The Media Center PC has a similar interface as any Windows XP based computer.

Select an application you wish to work on. The entire system is user-friendly.

Work on programs. Create files. Save your work. Use the Internet to transfer your work or send it across using other wireless and plug-in devices.

Browse the Web, access and send emails, and chat using IM.

Install and play games designed for Windows XP.
Step8
Install and use all the popular software including Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook for emails among others.
Step9
Connect to a printer and other accessories and use the Media Center PC as any Windows XP-based computer.

Use the guidebook that came with your Media Center PC for quick reference to your computing needs.
