Visit the Vonage website (www.vonage.com).

Call the toll-free number 1-800-980-1455 listed on the homepage of the website. Talk to Vonage customer care representative and request for a connection. Answer simple questions over the phone and order a vonage kit.

Or, by Vonage service online through the website. You will find a "sign up" link on the homepage. Click on it and proceed to buy Vonage service online.

Choose a plan. The sign-up process currently allows you to choose four kinds of plans depending on the service features and cost. You have two options in residential services and another two for business. Choose any one depending on your budget and use. Click on ‘Continue.’

Configure lines before proceeding. Choose an existing phone number you want to configure with your new VoIP connection. Alternately, you can also specify a new number as assigned by vonage. Select the city and area code from the drop down menu. Click on ‘Continue.’

Step 6
Choose the hardware you would like to use with your Vonage VoIP. Vonage has tie-ups with several hardware manufacturers from Motorola, Uniden, VTech, D-Link, etc. and also has its own Vonage phone. See the technical specifications of each and select one depending on your budget. Click ‘Continue.’

Step 7
Fill in the account information. Specify your full name, existing phone number, existing email address, internet service provider and choose a password.

Proceed to the 911 activation. Here, specify information so that you can route your emergency calls such as 911 to seek nearest help from your home or office address. Provide the mailing address details and click ‘Continue.’

Step 9
Enter the credit card details and check the billing info. The shipment will be sent to the address you entered in step 8. Make sure there are no typing errors. If so, go ‘back’ and rectify the errors. You should receive an email notification on your shipment after your credit card is approved and your request is processed.
