How to Use a Computer and Watch TV Simultaneously

Media Center PC allows you to simultaneously use your computer and enjoy TV programs. The connectivity is the key, which lets you work on your computer and watch the favorite TV show along with your family. Working on your computer also allows you to use desktop applications and even play games while the TV is on.

Instructions

1. Switch on your Media Center PC and ensure it is connected to the home theatre or TV system.

2. Begin by pressing the green Start button on your Media Center PC remote.

3. Click Restore Down on the toolbar. By doing this, you will be able to switch off the full-screen mode into a sizable window.

4. Drag the lower-right corner of the window to reduce the size. This allows you to make room for other programs to be viewed over the desktop.

5. Start using the other programs on your PC. From the menu, you can choose to work on several applications installed in your PC.

6. Learn how to handle Media Center Remote. You can access several functionalities while using your computer. Both mouse and the remote can handle your TV viewing and computer.

7. Configure your Media Center to stay on the top of your desktop window application. To do this: select Settings and click General; select Startup and Window Behavior; check the Media Center windows always on the top box; save and exit.

• You can record TV programs while working on your computer even when the TV is in the standby mode.
