How to Prepare for Laser Hair Removal

If you have signed up for laser hair removal and don't know exactly what you need to do to prepare for your first treatment, read here for some helpful tips:

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
If you are having your underarms done, you need to discontinue using deodorant for 3 days prior to your appointment.
Step2
The day of your appointment, take a pain reliever like IB Profen or Tylenol to reduce the pain associated with the treatment.
Step3
Make sure you shave the entire area that will be treated.
Step4
Avoid tanning the area 2 weeks before the treatment.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never pluck or wax the area being treated.

on 6/4/2008 Very good article, now I know what to do before I have this procedure done. Its going to be hard not to use deodorant during the summer though...its impossible not to sweat when its 80F + outside!
