How to Build a Lean-To fire

The easiest fire to build is the lean-to fire.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Wood
• Tinder

1. Gather and make tinder. Tinder can be moss, pine needles, dry leaves tiny branches, wood shavings.

2. Lay a log down on the upwind side of the fire.

3. Lay small pieces of wood (about the size of a pencil) leaning against the log.

4. Lay some pieces of wood a little larger across these pieces.

5. Lay some bigger sticks on top.

6. Place some tinder underneath the small sticks.

7. Light the tinder. You may need to lightly blow on fire.

8. Enjoy fire.
