Things You'll Need:

Step 1
Get the car ready. Be sure to have the oil changed, tire pressure checked, fluids topped off and a full tank of gas. Also check the window wipers and headlights!

Step 2
Stock up on a varity of snacks and beverages. Since everybody had different taste be sure to get easy to eat fruits and vegitables in addition to the cookies, candy and crackers.

Step 3
Grab cd's, tapes and your ipod. When on a road trip you never know when a radio signal won't come in.
Also a good idea to bring your favorite book or magazine. Everybody in the car can participate in a magazine quiz! -
Step 4
Bring a few pillows and blankets. You are going to be in the car for awhile and you'll want to be comfortable.

Step 5
Be sure to grab your binoculars, camera, film, and batteries. You'll want to document all the neat stuff you'll see on the road.

Most of all when on a road trip...HAVE FUN and use your IMAGINATION!!

on 5/12/2008 Very good and knowledgeable article. Reading this makes me even more excited about my upcoming road trip. A car may not be an "amusement park' as the bloke above stated, but it is a home away from home on a road trip!! And I got a speeding ticket on my last road trip so I totally agree with the last piece of advice. In the middle of nowhere they're out there looking for something to do! Props.

on 4/18/2008 I think this article give good advice on how to entertain but I draw the line at "beware of police", they are there when you need them so obey the law and hope they are there when you have car trouble or need them for other things that can happen and I say beware of other drivers
