Have you ever opened a bottle of Red Wine, say, Merlot and poured a glass straight from the bottle only to find that it doesn't taste very good. Well, it could be because it hasn't been given enough time to decant.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Decanter or any glass container with a large open mouth to let the wine breathe.
  • Cork Screw
  • Bottle of Red Wine
  1. Step 1

Open The Bottle of Wine by using your cork screw and carefully removing the cork taking care not to break it in half.

  2. Step 2

Pour your wine into a decanter about half full.

  3. Step 3

Let it stand and mix with the air for 30 minutes to one hour before drinking.

  4. Step 4

Pour yourself a glass half full and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Pour only a half glass so you can swirl the wine and smell it's bouquet.
  • Don't drink and drive.
