Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Bath tub
- Preferably organic dog shampoo
- Water pitcher or cup
- Dog brush
- Conditioner (optional)
- Hair dryer (optional)
Step1
First, brush their fur completely. Take the time to patiently get out any knots or matting they may have.
Step2
Depending on how big your dog is, fill the bathtub with the appropriate amount of water. The water should come up almost to the top of your dogs legs. Be sure that the water is not to hot. It should be lukewarm.
Step3
After you put your dog into the tub, it's a good idea to have a large cup or water pitcher to gently pour water over their entire body.
Step4
After their body is totally wet, lather them up with shampoo. Let it soak in for a minute or two before washing it off.
Step5
Wash off the shampoo using the same cup you used to wet the dog. Be sure to get all the shampoo out After the shampoo is washed out, you can follow with a conditioner if so needed.
Step6
When you are finished bathing your dog, take them out of the bathtub and wrap them in a warm towel.
Step7
After you towel dry them for a couple of minutes, you can use the blow dryer to complete the process. Do not use a high heat setting on the hair dryer.
