Always document time and date before you start your journal entry for that day. Perhaps you will write more than once a day, so every time you sit down to write, jot down the time of day.
Step3
Don't focus on grammar, punctuality, or whether your writing makes sense. Just write, write, write. Free write. Document everything that comes to mind, in no particular order.
Step4
Some people like to pick a certain time in the day to write--early in the morning, afternoon during lunch, after work, etc. Whatever your preference, just write.
Step5
Write when you are angry, sad, mad, etc.
Step6
You get a thought when you don't have your journal available, grab a piece of paper and jot it down. Transfer it into your journal at a later time.
