Sometimes you have to travel long distances by yourself in your car in a very short time. Many accidents happen when people get tired and fall asleep on the road.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Car
  • Map - print out a map with directions from MapQuest
  • Water - in small handy bottles
  • Snacks
  • Vitamins
  • GPS - optional
  • Fruitdrinks
  • Gas money
  • Emergency phone number or AAA membership
  • Cell phone
  • Your favorite music
  • Coffe - warm or cold
Step1
Divide the distance into equal parts and mark it on the map. Usually every 100-150 miles.
Step2
Stop at every stop and rest for 10-15 minutes. Don't push it and think that you can make it to the next stop.
Step3
Drink and eat. Make sure you visit the restroom before starting on the next part of your route. Walk around and strech your body. If you feel sleepy then take a nap.
Step4
If you have cuise control then put at 7-8 miles over the speed limit as cops will usually ignore you on a highway if you are a couple miles over. Do not speed excessively as it will make you tired faster and might endanger your life and others on the road

Tips & Warnings

  • Always fill up your tank and never go under the half mark as you might drive in rual areas where there are no gas stations. If you are driving on the highway all times then there will be gas stations on regualar intervals
  • If you notise that your eyes are closing then stop as soon as possible. Don't try to make it to your next stop and take a nap.
  • Always sleep in your car with your all doors locked for your safety
