Tired of trying to hold your cell phone with your chin, while balancing a hot coffee on your knee, trying to apply eye makeup (ladies....and some fellas) and shift gears all at the same time? You've gone out and purchased yourself a new bluetooth headset, here are the steps to pair it to your phone. (These instructions are specifically for the Motorola HS850 headset and Samsung A900 and may vary with different manufacturers).

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Samsung A900
  • Motorola HS850 bluetooth headset
  1. Step 1

The first thing you will need to do is make sure the bluetooth feature is enabled on your phone. From your phone's menu, select "settings", then "bluetooth". Select "on" and press the "ok" or "done" button.

  2. Step 2

Next, press the power button on your headset and hold it for 5 to 8 seconds (or until the power light stops blinking and stays solid). Your headset should now be in pairing mode.

  3. Step 3

From the menu on your phone, go to "tools" and select the "bluetooth" option. This will take you to your "trusted devices" list (none should be listed at this point). Select "add new" with your headset in close proximity.

  4. Step 4

After a few seconds of searching, your phone should display "Motorola HS850". Press the "connect" button. You should now be able to make and receive phone calls via your headset with the freedom of having your hands free for other activity.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you experience problems with your phone not finding your headset, you may need to reboot your phone (i.e. turn it off, then back on). Try the steps again and it should work.
  • Bites from venomous snakes can cause severe pain and/or death.
