    • Crushed Garlic
    • Crushed Onions

    • Salt
    • Black pepper

Nothing is measured if you want to do this right. Just start with your base using the tomato sauce, brown sugar and honey. Save the tomato paste till later if you need to thicken up your sauce.

      • 2

Simmer the base on medium high until the sauce starts to brown a little and, and is bubbling. (about 15-20 with constant stirring).

      • 3

Have plenty of extra ingredients, lower heat a little and start adding them little by little while simmering in a large pot on medium, to medium high.

      • 4

Just add a dash of this, stir then taste. Then add a dash of that, stir then taste. Keep up this process while adding the ingredients little by little.

I have been doing this for years. Each time it comes out a little different then the last, but better then the time before.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Have fun!!!

    • Experiment with many different ingredients.

    • The ingredients listed above are my personal favorites but you could try just about anything!!!!! (add a few, remove a few)

    • Make plenty to last for a few Barbeque's.

    • Once you come up with that perfect sauce, it will be sad to see it go. You'll find yourself going for your world famous sauce more then any other condiment in the refrigerator.

    • Take your time.

    • Do not add too much of any one ingredient. However, if you do, add some of everything else to over power it.

I make my own bbq sauce (enough for one or two people, per meal) and I don't go through nearly what you've described. Though, I have to say after reading the ingredients you use...I bet your sauce is tasty!
